Victoria Beckham Nails Inc Collaboration

Hi everyone! I know its been a while since my last post! I have missed blogging but studying has taken over for the last 2 months.. But back to todays post... I was lucky enough to be sent these polishes from Nails Inc and today I will be reviewing the Victoria Beckham Limited Edition Nails Inc Collaboration Set which contains polishes customised by VB herself...

The set contains two polishes: 

1. Bamboo White - A beautiful creamy white with a hint of pink

2. Judo Red - A gorgeous red with orange tones 

First lets start with the packaging.. so as you can see from the image below.. the set comes beautifully gift wrapped in a luxury white box with a gift bag to go with it.. this is something I would expect especially because of the £45 price tag. The design has definitely been well thought out... and i think it would be the perfect luxury gift for any polish lover..

 The bottles have also been designed beautifully, they feel heavy to hold, feel smooth and are finished with a matte look.. they look expensive as they should. The sides give you a sneak peek of the polish colour inside which I think is a unique touch to the whole design. I think they would look beautiful in any polish collectors nail cabinet or display, they really do make a statement.

 Now lets talk about the polish itself..

Nails Inc claims:

1. The Polish is created with stretch to fit technology, these polishes will glide onto the nail for a flawless finish.

2. Formulated with bamboo extract to help build healthy nails and ensure a perfectly smooth application.

I really do agree with the first statement. The polishes are smooth to apply, I used two coats in both swatches and they give a flawless glossy finish once dry which is essential for me with any high end polish. They dry quickly between layers which is also a bonus and the brush design is also perfect as it allows the polish to spread evenly across the nail with minimal mess. As for the second statement.. I can not comment on the longevity of the polishes yet as I have not worn them over a long period of time but I did Judo Red on for 2 days and I can honestly say there was minimal wear at the tips of the nails which is a plus. Final thoughts

Overall I think both shades designed by VB are beautiful and quite different to any other polishes I have tried from nails inc. The formula is perfect, the brush is well designed and the finish is also lovely. 

The polishes retail for £25 each or £45 for the set so I do think they are slightly over priced however if you are a polish addict like me and are looking to treat yourself or someone else as a gift I think they are worth it, particularly because they come in gorgeous packaging and of course they are limited edition so that is a bonus. 

I am grateful I was able to try these polishes... I will definitely be making use of them more this summer. Thank you Nails Inc..

Gucci Bold High-Gloss Lacquer - Sunburst

Hi everyone.. In todays post I am going to be reviewing the latest of luxury beauty product launches by the one and only Gucci. I have not seen any reviews of this exact product online so I thought I would be the first to tell you all about it. 

Gucci launched their cosmetics line in September this year featuring an amazing range of products including eyeshadows, lipsticks, blushers and more. As soon as I was told they were launching this line I could not wait to see what it looked like as I knew the packaging was to die for! And I was lucky enough to be given this polish for my 22nd birthday in October.  

As soon as I saw this packaging i was blown away by the detail Gucci had put into each and every product. All items in the range feature their signature logo in and for me this is by far the best luxury beauty brand packaging I have ever come across. 

The polish I will be talking about is 'Sunburst' - a beautiful coral shade as seen in the image below. The bottle is beautiful with the lid embossed with Gucci's Logo on the top. 

I swatched this polish and the image below was taken in natural sunlight. 

Application: I used two thin coats of the polish and as you can see the pigmentation is perfect. The brush shape is spot on and is designed to make sure application is mess free. For me it was exactly what I need and I did not have to clean the edges of my nails after application. The formula gives enough coverage, the colour payoff is amazing and it drys with the perfect glossy shine. The polish applies smoothly and did not leave any bumps or bubbles when drying which is exactly what I would expect from this kind of brand.

Wear time: I had this colour on my nails for at least 5-6 days before it showed any signs of wear or chipping which I think is great considering I did not use a top coat to seal in the colour. 

This gorgeous polish will be perfect as a gift or even as a treat to yourself. 

Gucci's Description: the bold high-gloss lacquer combines a state of the art formula and an innovative brush for a luxurious manicure experience. The specialised triangular-bristle brush provides impeccable, even coverage with each stroke, while the pigment-saturated nail polish results in a glossy, high-shine look.

Overall I think this nail polish is among the top 5 polish ranges I have tried, if not the BEST!... the product looks absolutely beautiful and on top of that the product inside the bottle is just as amazing. Application, colour payoff and wear is exactly what you would expect from Gucci.. It is well worth the £20 price point in my opinion and I would recommended it as a great gift for someone special.. or to yourself :)

I will be reviewing another polish from this range soon so keep an eye out!

Marc Jacobs Nail Lacquer Review

Hi Everyone! 

For todays post I will be taking about one of my favourite beauty products → NAIL POLISH :D.. Specifically 'Marc Jacobs Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer'. I picked up three of the shades from his collection on my recent trip to France. I went into Sephora and did not step out until I had these in my basket as I have been looking for these for the longest time ever! and they do not sell or ship to the UK :( 

These polishes retail for 18 Euros each so the price point is in line with most high end luxury polish brands...

Lets start by taking a moment for the BEAUTIFUL packaging he has designed for this product. It is simple, unique and classy... and the shape of the bottle is like no other, i love it!... I picked up three shades. 

1. Delphine - a gorgeous everyday creamy browny nude. perfect for everyday wear 

2. Lux - something different! a bright neon yellow shade perfect for making a statement

3. Secret Love - the most beautiful aubergine purple shade I have seen. one of my favourite colours 

Firstly these polishes come with the perfect sized brush, easy to use and not too large so polish application is easy.. Which is important when buying a luxury nail polish. The formula of the polish is an ideal consistency and not thick or clumpy at all... I found that for all three polishes two coats gives enough coverage and when dry, the gel like shine is exactly what I love! So a top coat is not really needed. 

The lasting power of all three I would say is perfect! They last about a week before showing any wear and thats about right as I wouldn't keep a polish on for longer than a week anyway as I like to keep changing up colours :) 

My favourite of all three shades is the neon yellow 'Lux' as i do not own a colour like it and it is such a striking colour which I wouldn't usually go for but have now fallen in love with.

Overall I am really impressed with the look, formula and lasting power of all three of these polishes. Marc Jacobs has done an excellent job with his design and I can't wait to try more shades from this line! I would really recommend these to anyone looking to try something different and willing to spend a little more as you definitely get the quality you pay for. These are now some of my favourites..
