Nails Inc - Snowflake Whitechapel

Hi everyone! Today Im going to be talking about and showing you the perfect festive nail polish.. Nails Inc - Whitechapel. I was lucky enough to be given this polish at the recent UK Nail Artists meet up I went to a few weeks ago, and Nails Inc kindly collaborated and gave us this polish among a few others they have recently launched.

This polish is a special effects shade created especially for Christmas as was brought back by popular demand. It is the perfect christmas gift for any nail polish lover or anyone else you know who likes painting their nails.
Packaging: As you can see, it comes in a cute silver gift presentation box with the nails inc logo making it even more special and perfect for gifting. The product is also contained within Nails Inc's new rectangular shaped bottle which I personally like a bit more than their traditional cylinder shaped packaging, as it looks more classy and is better suited to the price point of the polishes they create.

Product: This polish is a glittery topcoat but you can also use it all over the nails (with 2/3 laters to make it opaque). It contains gold and white strips with white hexagon shaped glittery pieces which give the polish the snowflake effect.

Application: The product is extremely easy to apply on top of any base colour, the brush is the perfect size for neat application with minimal product going onto the skin. I created a gradient effect with the design below using small strokes on the tips of my nails and gradually built it up to my desired look. However you can also cover the nail with the glitter and it would still look pretty if you wish.

Removal: So I have to put this out there, the only downside to this product is the fact that it takes a long time to take off...BEWARE you will need a lot of TIME, NAIL POLISH REMOVER AND COTTON PADS. Because this is a glittery topcoat for some reason it always takes 10x longer to take it off at the end. My tip would be to wrap the nails in cotton balls dipped in remover and leave it for 10 minutes before you take it off. I wish I had done this myself.

Price Point: This polish retails for £16 a bottle. Personally I think this is ok if i was giving this as a gift to someone for christmas or any other occasion however I wouldn't spend that kind of money for myself.
'Mr Snowman Nails'.. I used 'Barry M Lychee' as a base and created a glitter gradient with 'Whitechapel'.. Then painted a snowman on my accent nail to finish off the look.

Overall I think this polish is a pretty little addition to my ever growing nail polish collection and I love how it applied and looked with my christmas nail art design. It is a unique product which is perfect as a gift and I would like to thank Nails Inc for giving me the chance to try and review this product. I am really loving the new bottle design and the packaging it comes in is cute too.

By Terry Ombre Blackstar - Bronze Moon

Hi Everyone,
Today I will be reviewing By Terry Ombre Blackstar in the shade 'Bronze Moon'.
This product is a luxurious creme eyeshadow stick which can be used on its own or in conjunction with other creme or powder shadows.
The shadow comes in a stick form so you can apply it straight onto the eye and blend with your fingers without the need for using a brush. The creamy texture is super easy to apply and blend for a seamless finish. Once the product is on it STAYS on and does not crease, smudge or smear which I think is amazing and perfect for those days where you know you will need your make up to last all day. The pigmentation of the product is amazing, with one stroke giving an amazing bronze luminous colour, but the best thing is it is also build-able so you can apply multiple layers if you need to.

The packaging of the product is compact (looks like a pen) but also luxurious.. as nearly all of By Terrys Range is!... the size is perfect for travelling or on the go and you can fit it into any small space or bag you take to keep your make up in.

I think the product is great to use to create a neural every day smokey eye (as seen below) or just on its own if you are doing a quick 5/10 minute make up look as it still looks just as good.
Below I created a neutral eye look to wear with a simple indian outfit using the ombre backstar all over the lid. I then smoked it out slightly using 'Dark horse' from the Naked Palette in the outer corner and highlighted my brown bone with 'Virgin' also from the Naked palette. So as you can see with just 3 colours you can create a simple eye look to pair with a daytime or nighttime outfit.
Description of the product on the box it comes with...

This product retails for £28 however I feel it is well worth the price point. For what you pay you get a good amount of product and its luxurious feel and texture is definitely worth it. I think it will last a long time and overall just makes my everyday make up routine much easier when I don't have enough time to do a whole eyeshadow look with brushes and tonnes of blending.
For those looking for an alternative to this, Kiko Eyeshadow sticks are a great highstreet dupe and I would recommend those too...
Let me know what you thought if you have tried this product or any others in the same range...

Gucci Bold High-Gloss Lacquer - Sunburst

Hi everyone.. In todays post I am going to be reviewing the latest of luxury beauty product launches by the one and only Gucci. I have not seen any reviews of this exact product online so I thought I would be the first to tell you all about it.

Gucci launched their cosmetics line in September this year featuring an amazing range of products including eyeshadows, lipsticks, blushers and more. As soon as I was told they were launching this line I could not wait to see what it looked like as I knew the packaging was to die for! And I was lucky enough to be given this polish for my 22nd birthday in October.

As soon as I saw this packaging i was blown away by the detail Gucci had put into each and every product. All items in the range feature their signature logo in and for me this is by far the best luxury beauty brand packaging I have ever come across.

The polish I will be talking about is 'Sunburst' - a beautiful coral shade as seen in the image below. The bottle is beautiful with the lid embossed with Gucci's Logo on the top.
I swatched this polish and the image below was taken in natural sunlight.

Application: I used two thin coats of the polish and as you can see the pigmentation is perfect. The brush shape is spot on and is designed to make sure application is mess free. For me it was exactly what I need and I did not have to clean the edges of my nails after application. The formula gives enough coverage, the colour payoff is amazing and it drys with the perfect glossy shine. The polish applies smoothly and did not leave any bumps or bubbles when drying which is exactly what I would expect from this kind of brand.

Wear time: I had this colour on my nails for at least 5-6 days before it showed any signs of wear or chipping which I think is great considering I did not use a top coat to seal in the colour.
This gorgeous polish will be perfect as a gift or even as a treat to yourself.

Gucci's Description: the bold high-gloss lacquer combines a state of the art formula and an innovative brush for a luxurious manicure experience. The specialised triangular-bristle brush provides impeccable, even coverage with each stroke, while the pigment-saturated nail polish results in a glossy, high-shine look.

Overall I think this nail polish is among the top 5 polish ranges I have tried, if not the BEST!... the product looks absolutely beautiful and on top of that the product inside the bottle is just as amazing. Application, colour payoff and wear is exactly what you would expect from Gucci.. It is well worth the £20 price point in my opinion and I would recommended it as a great gift for someone special.. or to yourself :)

I will be reviewing another polish from this range soon so keep an eye out!

I am in love with this range and I can't wait to try out more.. Have you tried this? let me know what you thought...

Rouge Louboutin Nail Polish Review

Christian Louboutin - Rouge Louboutin

Hi Everyone, today I am going to be reviewing the most luxury nail polish I have owned to date, designed and created by the genius that is Christian Louboutin...

This polish was a gift however it retails for £36 in the UK and $50 in the US, which is around double the price of polishes created by brands like Chanel, YSL and Dior.

Lets start with the packaging of this beauty which is worth every penny! The unique design of the bottle blew me away when I opened the box.. It is nothing like I have seen before. The polish comes in a square box with the 'Christian Louboutin' Logo and the polish bottle is a unique red to black ombre crystal shaped bottle. The polish handle design is inspired by the ionic Louboutin heel which is also amazing!

Below are swatches of the polish in natural daylight and you can see it is a perfect red! I applied one coat and even that was opaque however in the images below are two thin coats of the polish which I think gives the perfect finish. The polish itself is smooth and easy to apply with the unique brush design which makes application simple and tidy (a tip would be to hold the handle as close as possible to the bottom because the handle can get heavy). I did not have to clean up at all after application because there was no mess :D.

The wearing time for the polish was about 4-5 days which I was quite disappointed with considering the price point, and you could probably find cheaper alternatives which last longer however for me the packaging makes up for it and using a top coat will do the trick. I don't own a pair of Louboutin heels so for me this is as close as I can get at the moment and I will definitely make use of the polish.

Overall I think the design is beautiful in the way it looks but a bit of work needs to go into the formula of the actual polish. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to add a luxury polish to their collection and is willing to spend the money because the colour is gorgeous and the bottle WILL look pretty on your shelf :) and its one of those one off products which you need in your collection.
Beware: a TOPCOAT is needed if you want it to last 3-4 days without chipping.

Mauve Make Up Look

Hi Everyone!
In todays post I will be talking to you about how I created this simple Mauve toned make up look using a mix of drugstore and high end products, perfect for either the daytime or nighttime.

Last week I went out to a concert for the evening and decided I would like to keep my make up fairly neutral with a touch of mauve and brown tones.

Products Used:
Loreal: Lumi Magic Primer
Mac: Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation (NC40)
Collection: Luminating touch brightening concealer
Nars: Casino Bronzer
Nars: Sin Blusher
Benefit: Watts Up Highlighter
Mac Lipstick: Creme in your Coffee
Urban Decay: Primer Potion
Marc Jacobs: Lolita Eyeshadow Palette
Rimmel: Day to Night Mascara (Black)

For this eye look I wanted to keep it simple but still give my eyes some depth and colour. The Marc Jacobs Pallete was perfect for this as it has a mix of neutral matte and shimmery tones which blend perfectly.

I dusted the shade 2 ( a matte nude) all over my eyelid as a base and then deepened the crease using shade 3 ( a matte coffee brown). I also wanted a spot of glitter on the middle of my eyelid and in the inner corners so I used shade 4 ( a metallic warm pink with glitter) on a flat packing brush to add a slight shimmer. For my brow bone I used a mixture of shade 1 (a matte off white creme) and the Benefit watts up to highlight and the eye look was complete.

MAC studio fix powder plus foundation as a base
A bit of dimension to the face with Nars Casino Bronzer using a Mac 109 Brush
Nars Sin Blusher using a MAC 116 Blush Brush
Mauvy Pink Lips

The COMPLETE LOOK

Thank you for reading, hope this gave you some inspiration for a simple winter evening look.
Have you tried any of these products? what did you think?
